ASVAB &
MOS EXPLORER

The ASVAB determines if you can enlist and which jobs you qualify for. Your AFQT score is the gate. Your line scores unlock specific MOS.

What is the AFQT?

The Armed Forces Qualifying Test (AFQT) is a percentile score (1–99) derived from 4 ASVAB subtests. It determines basic eligibility to enlist — not your MOS. Your percentile means you scored higher than that percentage of a nationally representative sample.

How to improve your ASVAB score

01
Focus on weak subtests first
Run a practice ASVAB to find your lowest-scoring area. Targeted study yields faster gains than reviewing material you already know.
02
Use free official resources
The ASVAB Career Exploration Program at asvabprogram.com has free practice tests. Khan Academy covers the math and science fundamentals you need.
03
Give yourself 60+ days
Two months of consistent 30-minute daily study sessions typically improves scores by 8–15 points. Don't cram — the ASVAB tests retained knowledge.
